We are really pleased that you are interested in having your child baptised. Baptism is a very important and exciting step as we join with you in welcoming your child into the church family. So what does it involve….
For you as parents, committing to help your child on their journey of faith and to be involved in the church community, expressing your belief in God and praying for your child and thanking God for His gift of life;
For the Godparents, committing to support you in bringing up your child as a Christian within the church family, committing to your child to support them in their faith and making their own declarations and promises in respect of their belief in God and commitment to the church;
For your child, beginning a journey of faith and joining the local and worldwide Christian family and being prayed for and welcomed into the Church community,
...and for us at St Paul’s this involves us also committing to support and pray for you and your child and provide a welcoming community to help you and your child grow in faith.
