Notes and News from St Paul'salt

Read some of this Sunday's Notes and News:

Spinnaker is our Mission of the Month for August.  They go into approximately 90 primary schools across London and the South East to do assemblies, RE lessons, run clubs and do special events at Christmas and Easter.  They have about 50 volunteers, and schools really appreciate the relationship they have with Spinnaker and the team.  They visit a couple of schools local to St Paul’s and would love to have more volunteers in the area to make the most of the opportunities they have available.  If you are interested in getting involved, please contact them on 020 8778 3181 or clare@spinnaker.org.uk

It is not our practice to take a collection during services, but there is an offertory plate at the back if you would like to contribute towards the work and ministry of St Paul’s.

A reminder to parents/carers – please keep an eye on your children and make sure they are safe, in the church and gardens.  We would be grateful if they didn’t run around in the church.  Thank you.

Collect for the 8th  Sunday after Trinity
Lord God, your Son left the riches of heaven
and became poor for our sake:
when we prosper save us from pride,
when we are needy save us from despair,
that we may trust in you alone;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Collect for the 9th  Sunday after Trinity
Gracious Father, revive your Church in our day,
and make her holy, strong and faithful,
for your glory’s sake
in Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
